Ariel (Are-ee-el) is Kānaka ʻŌiwi with ancestry from China and Japan. They are in diaspora from their homelands in the occupied Kingdom of Hawaiʻi and have a deep connection and appreciation for the ʻāina (Land), in all forms and all over Creation. When Ariel isnʻt spending time on the Land, theyʻre slanging ʻza at their day job, reading, listening to music, or spending time with their two roommates and animal friend. Ariel enjoys long drives to watch the sunrise, feeling small under the vast night sky, and dreams of the day when the settler-colonial state burns to the ground.
